Motorsport’s most exciting one-make endurance race returns for its third edition just a few weeks from now at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium – the countdown has begun to the 2026 Michelin 992 Endurance Cup. 

For the past two years the non-stop 12-hour Creventic organised race, which is exclusively for Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992 I) cars such as those which compete in the 992 class of the Michelin 24H SERIES, has provided a tremendous spectacle and the highest standard of endurance action. 

As the weeks tick by in the build-up to this year’s instalment, the big question is which team and group of drivers will emerge victorious this time around with Germany’s BLACK FALCON having won both of the previous instalments. 

Notably for this year’s event, Creventic has already confirmed the return of the very successful Top 10 Shoot-Out format for qualification day after proving a hit with competitors and race fans on its debut in 2025. 

The normal qualifying procedure of three individual sessions still takes place, with three different drivers from each entry participating, and when the aggregate times have been determined the fastest 10 cars then proceed to the Top 10 Shoot-Out.

Dutchman Paul Meijer entered the history books last year as the first Shoot-Out pole position qualifier at the wheel of MDM Motorsport’s Porsche. Notably, Meijer was also part of the pole qualifying line-up in the first ever Michelin 992 Endurance Cup in 2024.

Activities off-track just as busy as those on-track
As well as amazing on-track entertainment, there is so much for racegoers to enjoy off-track with a true festival atmosphere. Having confirmed a continuation of its partnership with Porsche Club Spa-Francorchamps and Vierenzestig.nl, Creventic once again presents the immensely popular Porsche Paddock Rendezvous.

Anyone planning to attend can still purchase tickets, and there is also the opportunity to buy tickets which also offer grid access during the build-up to the big race – there is no better way to soak up the very special atmosphere just prior to the start on the Saturday morning. Visitors can also explore the Grand Marquee in the paddock, featuring motorsport memorabilia, artwork and dedicated racing simulators for those who fancy getting behind the wheel themselves.

Owners of Porsche cars have some further options, including the chance to display their vehicles within the paddock in a dedicated area. Porsche Paddock Rendezvous tickets can be upgraded for access to the Creventic Endurance Lounge and owners can get involved with a VIP track session. Some excellent support race action will also be part of the bumper weekend at Spa, with Creventic’s own Prototype Cup Europe – a series for LMP3 level prototype cars – reaching its season conclusion with qualifying and two 55-minute races on Friday, 4 September. Additionally, the Caterham Sprint series will provide three 25-minute contests on the same day as part of a packed programme.

This year marks the debut season of Prototype Cup Europe action, where Ligier JS P325, Duqueine D09 and Adess AD25 LMP3 prototypes have so far done battle at Mugello in Italy, Germany’s Nurburgring and Monza in Italy. Heading towards the finale at Spa, Valentino Catalano holds a slim four point lead at the top of the championship from erstwhile points leader Maxim Dirickx.

Caterham cars are renowned for their incredible slip-streaming action and packed grids, front engined two-seater sports cars which consistently put a smile on the face of drivers and fans right across the globe. With three races scheduled at Spa, terrific action and entertainment is a certainty.

Free practice for the headline act will take place on Friday, 4 September, ahead of Michelin 992 Endurance Cup qualifying – the first of three sessions will start at 14.15 local time and at 16.30 local time will be the Top 10 Shoot-Out. There will also be a night practice at 20.50.

The 2026 Michelin 992 Endurance Cup race will begin at 09.45 local time on Saturday, 5 September, and will run uninterrupted across 12 hours to a finish at 21.45.
